Ludwig Otto is a former US Army Officer and Heavy Weapons Platoon Leader who served as an instructor at Officer Candidate School (OCS) with 165th Infantry, 42nd Division, New York National Guard.

At the age of 19, he was rated “the Outstanding Prospect in the Light Heavyweight Division” by Ring Magazine and retired from professional boxing with 10 wins and no defeats in 1953.  

He has acted as a development consultant to Texas Woman’s University, University of Dallas, North Texas Regional Library System, Fort Worth Housing Authority, AFL/CIO Labor Union, Dallas Mental Health & Rehabilitation, and Fort Worth Mental Health & Rehabilitation. In the 2008 Presidential election, he supported Barack Obama, and won the Democratic Primary for US Congress for the 6th Congressional District of Texas, defeating Fort Worth attorney Steve Bush.  He and his wife Maxine attended the Presidential Inauguration at the invitation of his Republican opponent, 14th term Congressman Joe Barton.  Thank you Congressman Barton.
